Alas, the 3 foam filled doors are not buoyant enough to support us both, and there is no material available to build sufficient pontoons. Another raft building failure, just not enough trash on the Rhine. Three five gallon buckets and some calk could have put this boat on the water. Could have. Now we depart again on foot, continuing to follow the river downstream.
How is “redneck” said in German?
Barge traffic on the Rhine was heavy in 1970. Could it have handled a large wake?
